A Deeper Approach to Body Image Healing
Embodied is a psychoeducational and experiential body image workshop designed to help you develop a more compassionate, connected, and sustainable relationship with your body.
This workshop centers on understanding the psychological, relational, and emotional roots of body image struggles. Together, we explore how body image is shaped over time—and how meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.
This workshop is especially supportive for individuals navigating:
Body dissatisfaction and negative self-image
Perfectionism and high self-criticism
Disconnection from the body
Shame related to appearance or identity
The lasting impact of cultural, familial, or relational expectations
What You’ll Learn
Through a blend of psychoeducation and experiential work, you’ll begin to:
Understand how body image develops through attachment, early experiences, and cultural messaging
Identify patterns of self-criticism, control, and internalized expectations
Explore the relationship between body image, identity, and emotional regulation
Build a more compassionate and attuned connection with your body
Recognize how body image struggles often function as protective adaptations, not personal failures
What to Expect in the Workshop
Embodied is intentionally structured to integrate insight with lived experience. Each workshop includes:
Psychoeducation
You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the psychological and relational foundations of body image, including attachment, shame, perfectionism, and the impact of cultural systems. This portion provides language and clarity to make sense of your experience.
Practical Skills
You’ll learn concrete, applicable tools to support body awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. These are not quick fixes, but sustainable practices that support long-term change.
Reflection & Journaling
Guided prompts create space to slow down and explore your internal experience. This allows for deeper integration of insights and helps you connect patterns across your history, relationships, and body image.
Group Discussion & Shared Reflection
There is space (with no pressure to share) for group reflection and discussion. Hearing others’ experiences often reduces shame and fosters a sense of connection and universality.
