Investing in Private Psychotherapy

Therapy is a meaningful investment in your emotional well-being, relationships, and long-term growth. My practice operates on a
private self-pay model, which allows therapy to remain a confidential and collaborative process focused entirely on your needs rather than insurance requirements.

Psychotherapy Without Insurance

I choose not to participate in insurance panels for several reasons related to privacy, quality of care, and treatment flexibility. Working outside of insurance allows therapy to remain more private, flexible, and tailored to your goals. We can collaborate on a treatment plan based on clinical expertise and your individual needs, rather than insurance guidelines. This approach also allows me to dedicate my time and attention to the therapeutic process itself rather than administrative negotiations with insurance companies.

For clients seeking reimbursement, I am happy to provide the documentation needed to submit out-of-network claims to your insurance provider (“Superbills”). I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network benefits as they can vary by your insurance provider, your specific plan, and may depend on receiving a specific diagnosis.

Sliding-Scale & Reduced Fee Policy

I believe therapy should be accessible while also honoring the sustainability of a small private practice. A limited number of sliding-scale appointments with reduced session fees are available for patients experiencing financial hardship. These spots are reserved for individuals whose current financial circumstances would otherwise make therapy difficult to access.

Sliding-scale availability is limited and offered on a case-by-case basis. If cost is a concern, you are welcome to reach out to discuss whether a reduced fee option may be available.
